My first journal entry for the University Colloquium class requests that I blog about my inititial expectations, any wilderness exlorations, personal goals and if I have any anxieties about the class.
My initial feelings on this class are positive. My personal goal is to use the final presentation not just for a grade but to hopefully make a change on campus regarding motorcycle policy. I don't want to go too much into it now as I want to fully research before making any comments that are visible to all on the web!
My initial anxiety is in relation to the field trips. I must use a motorcycle for my only transportation and I am not too happy of thinking of trekking through a swamp and getting very gross then having to ride my motorcycle an hour home possibly wet, sandy and muddy!! Bringing a change of clothes would be an option... if I doubled as a pack mule!!
I will do a whole seperate blog with regards to my wilderness experiences. I have been fortunate enough to travel all 48 continental states (multiple times) and parts of Mexico and Canada!
